Wow.

Talk about underwhelming. I wonder if they fired the employee(s) responsible for the PSP Go leak. That cost them big time in the excitement department.

So they announced some games, the PSP Go, and more games. Almost all of the games announced are also available on the 360. Not much to see here. Even the most ardent PlayStation fanboy would have a hard time defending this one. For more, check out Kotaku.com

Here are some highlights/screens if you miss it:

• Super Mario Bros. Wii is a juicy-looking side scrolling platformer, up to 4 players simultaneously
• Wii Fit Plus
• Wii Sports Resort
• Wii Motion Plus controller add-on provides a more specific level of control over game characters and situations

As of 12:30pm Eastern, the press event is still taking place. Let's hope Nintendo has even bigger surprises in store. We'll see. They're going to need to have something huge to overshadow Microsoft's event from yesterday. I'll post more later on...

UPDATE 3:01pm Eastern
• The Wii Vitality Sensor, you slip the sensor on your finger and it detects your pulse, attaches to the Wiimote
• Tons of DS games were announced, including a GTA-style cop game
• Metroid: Other M, Nintendo is working with Team Ninja for this, available 2010
• Super Mario Galaxy 2
• Exclusive M-rated Sega game being published by Nintendo, this is a first for Nintendo
• Miyamoto was a no-show

Microsoft Pulls Out All Stops During Its E3 Expo Live

• Beatles' Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr onstage for The Beatles Rockband game
• Forza 3 gameplay looks almost photo realistic
• Tony Hawk comes out, intros new skateboard controller and new game, Tony Hawk: Ride
• Awesome new game coming called Alan Wake
• Zune Video/Instant On 1080p means you will be able to watch any movie or tv show at 1080p, and even watch it with friends at distant locations
• MS teaming with Facebook and Twitter
• MS also teaming with LastFM
• New Halo game, Halo 3 ODST, available Sept. 22
• Hideo Kojima comes out, yes, they have a Metal Gear Solid game coming for the 360
• Peter Molyneux demos Milo, an amazing interactive character-based game... could be Seaman for a new generation
• Spielberg comes out to hype new game control tech: Natal
• New game control tech called Natal means games are controlled with no controllers, nothing to hold or touch... just your body... sensor bar detects body movement and also recognizes player's voices
