Bud Light Speaker Box... It's Real

I don't know about you but I thought this was all some fake advertising gimmick. A joke. "The Bud Light Speaker Box!" Yeah. Right.

But it's real. The Bud Light Speaker Box is REAL!

It's a cardboard case of beer with a speaker built-in with a white plastic bezel around it. It has a plug to jack your iPod into.

The sheer genius behind this blows my mind. Budweiser portrayed and advertised this concept as a "dream" item for man when in fact, it was real all along! I walked into Giant Eagle a few days ago and saw them stacked up for sale! Brilliant.

Some people are reporting the "Bud Light Grooler" is also real but I have yet to confirm this. It wouldn't surprise me if it were.

Don't Forget To Get Your Free Pizza Today

If you don't own a Camaro, borrow your buddies'.  Shit, if that doesn't work you could probably pull up in a Firebird; most of those teenage punks won't know the difference anyway.

If you have no idea what the hell I am talking about, click here.

Camaro Owners: Free Pizza Tomorrow!

Papa John was recently reunited with his 1971 Camaro Z28, so tomorrow, August 26th, he's literally giving away large pizzas to Camaro owners! Here's the deal, courtesy of Jalopnik:

According to the Papa John's corporate office, any Camaro owner who drives to their nearest Papa John's restaurant will get a large one-topping pizza for free. This only applies tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th, and there is a limit of one pizza per Camaro and one Camaro per visit.

Get out there, mullet heads!!

Radio Shack Is Now "The Shack"... What In The Hell Is Going On With This World?!

First, Pizza Hut pulls a half-ass name change, going from "Pizza Hut" to "The Hut..." and now THIS!

Radio Shack is now calling itself — get this — "The Shack!"

The Hut. The Shack. I guess these are places you can visit if you want to get out of the rain.

I have no degree in marketing (although I did take a couple of classes), and I am by no means a branding expert but Oh. My. God. What in the F is going on with this s#%@?!

I Googled "the shack" and guess what images came up? NOT ONE SINGLE RADIO SHACK-RELATED IMAGE, THAT'S WHAT!! Here are the images that DID come up:

Pretty much anything OTHER than things relating to (the corporation soon to be formerly known as) Radio Shack.

So that tells me the people in charge of orchestrating this bizarre "Shackening" of Radio Shack are either slow or stupid. If you're going to re-launch your corporate identity, don't ya think you might want to shore-up the Internet a little better?

Can you tell I'm pissed?

I understand that "radios" are not popular like they used to be. Fine, I got it. But calling your company "The Shack?" How lame!

Am I being cantankerous in my old age or do you agree with me that these recent name changes are simply moronic? I'd love to hear what you have to say...

Pure Oxygen In a Can Makes Me Want To Take a Pure Ballbat To Their Heads

What a scam this is. Just wow.

It's been going on for years, but I feel compelled to call these shysters to the carpet.

Did you know that pure oxygen can be yours for only $20 a can?

Here's another group of cons (my opinion) selling pure oxygen!

I remember back in the early 90's... there was a company doing infomercials peddling oxygen-in-a-can, and the premise was that it could be sprayed into food and beverages. The cans had little straws which attached to the nozzles, WD-40 style. Anyway, I recall being blown away by the balls-out, scam-artist vibe; here they were actually selling oxygen... in a can... and telling people to spray it into a glass of ice cream to make a "healthy, delicious shake!" I did searches for this exact product but came up with zero. If you remember what it was called, let me know.

They call it "healthy." I call it "All Aboard The WTF Train!!"

You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to start selling my own poop. Yeah, I think I can do it. It sounds crazy, but I think I can pull it off. I'll come up with some clever marketing, maybe call it "Pooptastic," or "Craptacular" or some such name. My poop could be yours, for only twenty bucks a bag. I will be a wealthy man.

Back to the oxygen thing. Since when do you need to shell out $20 to breathe? Last time I checked, breathing oxygen was still free of charge -- unless, of course, you're living on planet Druidia. Maybe the oxygen we breathe isn't 100% pure oxygen, but still. Really? Am I being too harsh here? Is this not one of the most ridiculous marketing ploys ever to be perpetrated on the public?
