Okay, I don't know about you, but if I were a contestant on this Japanese game show I would probably lock-up on girl number four, at least, due to the density change in my swim trunks.

Gotta Shock 'Em All, Gotta Shock 'Em All
I did not know this.
I know. I don't know a lot of things, but this is one of them.
Anyway, I did not know that back in 1997 an episode of Pokemon aired on Japanese television that caused hundreds and hundreds of little kids to be rushed to hospitals. The children had experienced seizures! When I read this, I was like WTF? Here's a link to the report.
So anyway, if you're too lazy to click on the link, here's the rundown. There is a scene in the episode containing rapidly flashing colors during a missile attack; specifically blue and red. This particular strobe effect was just crazy enough to F up more than 600 little ones who happened to be watching. The episode — which became known as the "Pokemon Shock" episode — was pretty much banned and later altered with slowed-down frames of animation.
And now — for the first time ever — here is your chance to watch the ORIGINAL, seizure-inducing scene from the infamous "banned from TV" episode of Pokemon. Just remember I am not legally responsible if your head explodes like in Scanners, okay? Watch at your own risk.

Hilarious Commentary Regarding That Super Wealthy Dude With The Lamborghini Elevator In His House
I posted this just a short time ago and I noticed -- over at Gizmodo where I originally found the piece -- several awesome comments made by various and sundry individuals*. I just had to post some of them. Read these golden nuggets, would you?
Ah, perfect for those Sunday morning drives through the kitchen.
Clearly a very expensive rig, yet look at those uncomfortable dining chairs.
Wouldn't you think that he would buy a nicer house? that place looks so small and extremely bad taste
Step 1: Place car into room.
Step 2: Completely empty room and paint everything white, making for maximum attention on said car.
Step 3: Sit in Chair for hours upon hours staring at said car. Invite people over to stare. In progress.

Knowing how I tend to show off when drunk, I would either:
a) Park on the lift wrong and damage the car while lifting
b) Park another car underneath it, and damage it while lowering
c) Both a and b
d) Drive around the living room, "just a little bit"
e) leave door open and fall into garage

I think it needs to be hooked up to a jukebox or something that way I can choose which car comes up. Or just hit shuffle and see what random car I will be driving that day. you know what screw it! just have a button that a random car pops up and if you don't like it it falls into a hole and gets incinerated. Kind of like mr. burns bed dispenser.
If I had as much money as him though, I would have a large glass (fake, or made of sugar) window in my living room that I would crash my car through every morning. A perfect way to start each day: action-packed theatrics. (Optional: have some workers act like they're shooting at me by firing blanks from machine guns, and a flame thrower set-up to simulate a fiery explosion just as I reach the outside.)
What about a smaller version for scooters?
* I know that didn't really make sense but I like how it sounds

Hilarious (And Admittedly Bizarre) Arcade Game Lets You Flip Over A Table In Anger
Yes, it's a tad odd. Yes, it is destined for revenue failure. And yes, it is funny. It's called Cho Chabudai Gaeshi and by god if it isn't a new level of strange. Even for a game in Japan. If you're wondering about possible North American distribution, don't hold your breath.
Thanks, Kotaku

Bizarre Japanese Game Shows You Will Not Believe: Conveyor Belt Butts!
This might be the most messed up Japanese game show ever created for television. For real.

Bizarre Japanese Game Shows You Will Not Believe: It's Nuts!
Guess what happens when you screw up on THIS Japanese game show?
Ultraman Movie Trailer
A new Ultraman movie... with what looks to be a fairly decent budget. I usually snicker a little when it comes to the man-in-suit cheese factor of these Japanese productions, however I have to admit this — for some reason — this Ultraman movie trailer makes me excited! Damn, it may even be fun to watch! What do you make of it... cool or crap? Is this coming to the U.S.?

Disguise Your Laptop As A Newspaper

A company overseas has come up with a clever product which disguises your laptop to appear as an ordinary newspaper. At around $80 it's damn expensive though. From the manufacturer:
The "Laptop Against Crime" is just what you need to disguise your valuable laptop. The bag is made of plastic and has a Ziplock-type fastener. It is also equipped with a removable carry chain. There are several different versions of newspaper graphics available as well.
Like I said, this bag is being sold primarily overseas but I'm sure they'll be making their way here soon.
