I have yet to personally do this but it sounds like a great idea. You can make really good, tasty movie theater style popcorn at home for pennies on the dollar. You need a few items (this being one of them) costing a total of around $30, but once you have them you'll be up to your neck in awesomely-tasting popcorn for a very long time.
